Hilary Wason is a marketing lecturer at Kingston University Business School and also teaches at Kingston College. She brings a wide range of practitioner experience to this role having previously worked for 15 years in senior marketing roles in both client and advertising agency environments. Her research interests include developing critical thinking, using teaching and learning to build self-efficacy, student-centered learning, transition to HE and developing adjunct faculty academic identity. She has published a number of articles about these topics.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has recently been awarded a Kingston University National Teaching Fellowship for her work developing a critical thinking skills toolkit. She is this year’s institutional nomination for the Higher Education Academy’s National Teaching Fellowship Scheme. She is a member of the Society for Research in Higher Education and peer reviews for the Researching, Advancing and Inspiring Student Engagement Network’s journal.
